Justin’s Barbershop® supports and encourages everyone in the system to get involved with their local community. Donating money isn’t the only way you can give back. If you have big plans and/or talents use them! It can make a real difference and big impact in the lives of so many people.
One of the great privileges of being a business owner is having the ability to give generously to organizations and charitable causes in your community that matter most to you and your customers.
To build positive relationships within your community, start by making genuine connections with your customers and finding ways you can contribute.
Get your employees and staff on board. It will give them satisfaction to give back to the community and gives everyone the opportunity to interact outside of the business.
Be the leader and start the movement – you’d be surprised how many other business will follow your lead. The giving spirit can spread like wildfire.
Justin’s Barbershop’s® mission is to give back to the community. Justin and his elite team members also visit students at local cosmetology schools, where they teach hair-cutting techniques and provide students with knowledge and valuable insight in the industry.
Justin’s Barbershop® kicked off the month of November and teamed up with CentraState Healthcare Foundation in Freehold, New Jersey to raise awareness and funds for the Movember Foundation, which is the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. They address some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
For the entire month of November men volunteered to grow their mustaches in support of the Movember Movement. We are happy to support and help these men raise thousands of dollars.
We placed flyers and donation jars in all our Justin’s Barbershop® locations. Gave gift cards to all participants who raised money and donated a basket of goodies for the grand prize winner who raised the most money.
At the end of the month Justin’s Barbershop® and some great barbers volunteered their time bringing equipment and supplies to do the big “Shave Off” at CentraState Hospital.
Hosting the head-shaving event with St. Baldrick’s not only helped to raise money to help fight childhood cancer, it also brought the entire community together and raised awareness of the realities of childhood cancer.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives.

Justin’s Barbershop® held an event to sponsor Sam, a great local high school student in the community and our client. Sam came to us and asked if we could donate any money to help him pay for his plane ticket to Nicaragua. Sam is a member of the Nicaragua Mission Team that volunteers their time to work with orphanages and schools.
Sam’s enthusiastic and passion to help others truly inspired us. Of course, we all donated money from our own pockets, but we wanted to do more to help him.
That’s when we decided to help him raise more money, so we sponsored an event in honor of Sam and the Nicaragua Mission Team. All the money we brought in from the haircuts we performed went directly to this cause, not our cash register.
The event had a phenomenal showing and truly brought the community together. We’re proud to report that the money we raised, not only paid for Sam’s plane ticket, but we had extra to donate directly to the Nicaragua Mission Team.
In support of the people in our community affected by cancer and to spread cancer awareness, Justin’s Barbershop® created “Cuts for Cancer”. We designed and ordered special Justin’s Barbershop® shirts, set up donation jars and gave out ribbon pins for every donation we received that month.
Even though we collected donations throughout the month our big event was held at the Justin’s Barbershop® in Manalapan, New Jersey. We had bunch of barbers travel from other Justin’s Barbershop® locations to support and volunteer their time at the “Cuts for Cancer” event.
Food and beverages were served for anyone who wanted to stop by and show their support. It was great feeling to see so many people from the community come to the event, even if they weren’t getting a haircut.
For a $20 donation barbers used their straight-edge razors to cut a design of a ribbon on guy’s heads and women received purple extensions in their hair. All proceeds from every donation jar, shirt sold and from all haircuts performed at the event were donated to local cancer charities.
Justin’s Barbershop® raised donations and participated in “Making Strides against Breast Cancer” event for the American Cancer Society. We had special shirts designed and sold them for a donation. Our barbers all joined in the event, not only did they raise money but they also came out with their friends and family and all participated in the walk.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting communities with a shared determination to help free the world from the pain and suffering of breast cancer. Passionate walk participants raise critical funds that enable the American Cancer Society to fund innovative research; provide free, information and support to anyone touched by breast cancer; and help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.
To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our first Justin’s Barbershop® in Jackson, New Jersey we hosted an entirely free community event.
The community supported our business over the past 10 years and we wanted to give back and do something great to show everyone in the community how much we truly appreciate their support throughout the years.
We reached out and connected with other local business in the community to join in the event. We had so many other business great local businesses support this event by donating food, beverages and prizes for our Charity Raffle.
